Time out

I'm taking some time out to recharge my batteries, get out and about for some inspiration and to move in to my new studio. Don't worry, I'm taking lots of pictures and will be back to share everything soon. x

Workshop March 3rd

A few pictures from what proved to be a very productive workshop.  There was a great sense of energy to the day.  I'm off to Gateway College in Leicester on Friday to work with the A2 students.  I've been replenishing my stash of papers/paints and inks.  I need the car boot season to start again so I can replenish my vintage paper supply!

If you'd like to come to a workshop, I still have places on 'Collaged Landscapes' in Long Eaton on April 28th and July 14th.  I also have places on the 'Memory Books' day on July 7th.  Please visit my website for contact details.

Here are the new pieces that I created for the Sock Preview Exhibition now on at the Sock Gallery at Loughborough Town Hall.  They are beautifully framed in oak frames, handmade by Albert in Melbourne, Derbyshire. The exhibition went up more easily than than in December. A little planning and knowledge, and a very helpful friend made the day run to plan. I'll be in the gallery the weekend of the Sock Makers Market, 24th and 25th March so come and say 'hello'.

Sock 2012

Well I made it through the week.  Illness, World Book Day costumes, Eco Team meeting all dealt with.  Worked until my eyes hurt and met my deadlines.  I'll be setting up at Sock Gallery on Tuesday ready for the opening of the preview exhibition on Wednesday.  My work will be there right through to March 25th, the weekend of the Makers Fair when I'll have a full range of cards, ceramics and prints available.  I'm hanging 6 new originals and 9 prints, including two new ones. I'll blog all soon!

Another workshop tomorrow, this time on home turf. Very exciting to be introducing a bit of print into the day and hoping to get as exciting results as last week's workshop.
