Mark Hearld

In my mind, Mark Hearld can do no wrong.  I love this film where he talks about his work.

Wow you are right,he is completely wonderful! I love what he says about objects and collecting being a sort of making. He is completely right as the juxtopostion of objects is making and produces emotion in the viewer.

I have had a card with his rooster and railway carriage by my computer for weeks meaning to look him up and suddenly here he is and talking.

The Bawden thing is so fasionable but this stuff is not derivative, its alive and fresh and centred in the same creative root.

I agree Dixie. Mark Hearld is also technically accomplished so his work is firmly rooted in the printmaking tradition. The work has great energy, perhaps the use of birds helps this.
